My graphics card driver is up-to-date with the latest Nvdia Studio Drivers, I am running the latest update to After Effects, Maxon's app is up-to-date with the Universe 5.0.1 patch, and I have the latest Win10 version installed. I think the only other plugin that has given me similar issues would be Red Giant Universe's Camera Shake, but even that I can get to work most of the time. But for whatever reason, even if I begin a brand new comp at 1280 x 720 and try to apply a masking layer over a PNG with Red Giant's RGB Separation effect on the mask, After Effects suddenly shuts down without warning. I have a decent PC that is starting to show its age, but I'm still able to handle fairly complicated After Effects compositions with 3D cameras and 3D layers in 4K within reason. Submitted a ticket to Maxon so they can look into this, as this is a surprising oversight.įigured I'd make a post on this, as this happened to me in just about every instance for almost two straight years.
